This celebrated event has real people recreating classical and contemporary artworks by posing in full regalia to look like their counterparts in the original pieces. Set in an outdoor amphitheater with an orchestra, live narration, and intricate sets, the Pageant has won recognition for being the best presentation of its kind. This year’s theme is “Eat, Drink and Be Merry” and will be performed nightly from July 7 – August 31 in Laguna Beach, California.

What if the solution to potholes was simply using concrete that fixed itself?
That’s the idea behind University of Rhode Island grad student Michelle Pelletier’s concrete concoction. By mixing a microencapsulated sodium silicate agent into normal concrete, Pelletier created a road material that can regain 26% of its original composition after being fractured.
